Youth Commission Welcomes New YouthWorks Intern

Here at SF YouthWorks we love to see the different ways worksites welcome and introduce interns to their department. Check out how Youth Commission introduced their intern in their latest E-Newsletter:

Meet Our YouthWorks Intern!

17 year old Judy Ho is the new Youth Commission intern from SF YouthWorks, a unique high school internship program that teaches young people crucial job skills while sparking their interest in public service careers. She was born and raised in San Francisco, California and has been here her whole life. She is currently a senior at Abraham Lincoln High School and will be graduating this coming spring of 2014. She learned about SF YouthWorks from a close friend and through that obtained an internship at the Youth Commission Office.

Judy’s goals as an intern are to improve on her people skills, research ability, office work experience and to learn more about city government. As of now, she has learned the outlines of official committee meetings, the different public matters that are dealt with at the Youth Commission Office and hopes to learn more about how the Youth Commission Office is involved with youth within our community.
