Interns participated in the Youth Empowerment Fund’s 5th Annual Youth Advocacy Day, where interns met with city officials from over 25 different city departments and community based organizations including SFUSD, SF Recreation and Parks, and the Board of Supervisors.
Youth Leadership Team members led some of the workshops where participants discussed issues that affect youth in San Francisco. After the day, youth left feeling empowered and more knowledgeable about how they could engage with city officials.
