This month we are highlighting mentor Raymond McKenzie from the Asian Art Museum. Thank you Raymond for the great work you do as a YouthWorks mentor!

Spotlight on Raymond McKenzie:

Raymond McKenzie is the Assistant Manager of Retail Operations of the Asian Art Museum Store. He has been mentoring with SF YouthWorks for almost a year now. Raymond chose to mentor with SF YouthWorks because he believes their are valuable skills that interns can learn at the Asian Art Museum which can help start them on their professional lives. It’s also a way for Raymond to return the experience, as he was a summer intern for a similar program many years ago.

Sharing about his experience with YouthWorks, Raymond says “I’ve had the great fortune to work with two amazing interns so far. Kristina and Heidy are hardworking and responsible additions to our team here at the museum. Thanks to SF Youth Works for all of their support and keeping this program going.”

A few interesting facts about Raymond! His first job was as a Summer Intern for the Monroe County Public Library System. Raymond likes to paint, travel, cook and read. Currently Raymond is reading the Hobbit to his seven year old son and he can usually be found wearing crazy socks.
