Camile Richard: Intern, Employment Coordinator and now Associate Director

My transition into the role of Associate Director has been a humbling experience. I am privileged to have inherited such an outstanding team of dedicated individuals. Our goals will continue to include providing quality service and support to enhance professional and personal skill development of San Francisco youth.

As I can personally attest to the benefits that structure, guidance and exposure offers to those who have barriers to employment. Working in an environment where I have the opportunity to see so many high school students realize their potential is highly rewarding and a true motivation in itself.

This school year alone the SF YouthWorks team reviewed over 350 applications for 140 positions. After interviews, selected students must complete four hours of pre-employment training before starting their internships the week of October 22nd. Liora Barba, our newest Employment Coordinator will be joining SF YouthWorks in building up our future workforce. We all look forward to another successful session of providing youth with meaningful work experience.
