YouthWorks Leadership Transition

After almost four years of proudly serving as the director of the San Francisco YouthWorks program, I am leaving my position to pursue a new employment opportunity. It has been so wonderful to be a part of this program. Working with the YouthWorks team and community has been incredibly rewarding. I feel so fortunate to have been able to partner with so many committed people and inspiring youth in this role.

Together, we have accomplished so much. Since I began as director, over 1,200 San Francisco youth have had the opportunity to participate in a YouthWorks internship. It has been wonderful to partner with all of you in our efforts to ensure that those interns would have the opportunity to gain skills and experience to last a lifetime.

I know that the program will continue to flourish in the coming years. Long-time YouthWorks employee Camile Richard will be taking on the role of Associate Director of SF YouthWorks. In this role she will manage the day-to-day operations of the program. The rest of our amazing team will be continuing in the fall, further ensuring a strong 2012-2013 year.

There are many plans in place to develop and expand the program next year, and these will continue to move forward. I certainly look forward to seeing YouthWorks continue to grow!
