Last week we visited intern Robin B, who is working in Supervisor Bevan Dufty’s office. In meeting with Robin, Supervisor Dufty, and Legislative Aide Alex Randolph, it was clear that they had established a strong rapport and working relationship.
Robin says of her experience, “Since I’ve been here in Bevan’s office, I have learned to see situations in a bigger scope as opposed to my own personal view. It has helped me tackle problems creatively.”
In our meeting, Supervisor Dufty shared a number of ideas about resources and opportunities that could benefit the YouthWorks program. He was interested in a longitudinal study of the impact of the program, offered to reach out to several new city departments where interns could possibly be placed in the future, and expressed interest in the program serving teen parents. We welcome his suggestions and support.
