Become A Mentor

“We need your service, right now, at this moment – our moment – in history… Because your own story and the American story are not separate, they are shared. And they will both be enriched if together, we answer a new call to service to meet the challenges of our new century.” -President Barack Obama

YouthWorks is seeking new worksite mentors who are committed to partnering with us to support the development of our young participants.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible to be a YouthWorks worksite mentor if:

  • You are an employee of the City of San Francisco
  • Your department is one of the many that generously provides financial support to SF YouthWorks or is interested to begin supporting our program.
  • You are committed to providing supportive work experience and career exploration opportunities for San Francisco youth

Please contact us at 415-202-7911 or send an email to info@sfyouthworks.org with any questions or to apply.

Are there other ways I can support YouthWorks?

Even if you aren’t eligible or available to mentor a young intern, there are many other opportunities to support our program. Career speakers and worksite tours are an important aspect of our career exposure activities. Please contact us if you can provide other types of support.
